The third annual event with more than 100 Primary Flight artists that takes place during Art Basel went back to the streets, creating live murals and installations throughout Miami’s Wynwood Arts District. Typoe, Retna, Ewok, Dolla, Blek Le Rat, Fake is Good and She Kills He were among the visionaries displaying their talents. Primary Flight’s base camp was found at Wynwood Social Club and other key locations included: Spinello Gallery, Margulies Collection, Eazy Street Gallery, Bakehouse Art Complex, Electric Pickle and FoCi Art Fair. SPINELLO GALLERY and BLACKBOOKS are proud to present PRIMARY FLIGHT www.primaryflight.com - Miami’s Second street level, street specific, mural installation throughout the Windward Art District that takes place during Art Basel. Due to the overwhelming response in 2007, the 2008 exhibition more than tripled in size and featured over 80 of today’s most respected graffiti artist local and abroad in addition to the talented Shepard Fairey (Photos below). Curators of this incredible event are BOOKS IIII, Anthony Spinello, Login Hicks and Lynn Yohana Howard.
In addition, Primary Flight is honored to be a part of history by engaging 20 artist to repaint Miami’s Wall of Fame, at the Miami’s RC Cola Plant in the Wynwood Art District.

- SPINELLO GALLERY and BLACKBOOKS in association with LANDSEA VENTURES and SABOTAZ is proud to present PRIMARY FLIGHT - Miami's first street level, site specific, mural Installation throughout the Wynwood Art District that takes place during Art Basel. The exhibition features over 25 of today's most respected graffiti artists local and abroad, curated by Books IIII, Anthony Spinello, and Lynn Yohana Howard. Graffiti has long left the streets, having become embraced by some of the world's greatest collections and museums. Primary Flight's soul purpose is to provide street artists with concrete outdoor wall space where they have free reign to install their art as they see fit - back into graffiti's original environment - to be viewed in what is arguably its most appealing format.
